Satranic Panic (2023)

Welcome to the Horror Agenda! Today we cover the 2023 feature film from Alice Maio Mackay, Satranic Panic. In addition to directing this film, she co-writes with Cassie Hamilton and Benjamin Pahl Robinson.

Carlos recommends 1000 Women in Horror (2025), directed by Donna Davies, a documentary about the central role women have played in the horror genre from it's inception, in front of and behind the camera. Based on a book of the same name by Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, who features strongly in the documentary. 

Carlos also recommends The People's Joker (2022), directed by Vera Drew who also stars, and cowrites with Bri LeRose, a satire about an aspiring clown navigating her gender identity in an legally a satire of Gotham fighting against a fascist state.
