Happy Solstice and Happy Holidays to those who celebrate, remember to NOT answer the phone! Today we are covering the CLASSIC (1974) Black Christmas! Directed by Bob Clark and written by Roy Moore.

Before the year ends, if you haven't already, please fill out our listener survey here: https://forms.gle/Vk7YtU1xeAq46aGBA

In this episode we discuss abortion and until recently, it's legality in the US the year before this film came out and while Bob Clark is USian he made this in Canada. Canada banned abortion for 100 years and then it was partially legalized in 1969 before this film came out and then fully legalized in 1988. In this episode Carlos is unclear (take a shot) about the years in Canada (he was looking up Canada abortion case law while we were recording) and is adding this link for clarity on the history of Canadian abortion law.

We discuss Horror Queers and cite their episode in a lot of conversation. You can find the episode here.

This week Carlos recommends the Horror Queers Black Christmas episode. They seem like a fun pair and were very information. You can find the show here. Carlos also recommends the Queer Quadrant another film podcast and you an find it here. Carlos joins Victor in recommending a holiday film, Love Hard (2021).

Victor recommends the 1998 film I'll be Home for Christmas starring JTT, a film about a young man struggling to get home for Christmas to get a car and reconnect with his father.
